Heineken rejected SABMiller’s offer to purchase the company. The move leaves SABMiller vulnerable to acquisition by another company Anheuser-Busch InBev. If AB InBev is able to buy SABMiller, it would be forced to divest itself of SABMiller’s stake in MillerCoors, its joint venture with Molson Coors. Molson Coors would be in a good position to require the remaining stake and even has some groundwork in place to facilitate the purchase. Read more at Seeking Alpha.
